Boulder Stuff

So you’re coming to our Boulder reception and want to know what to do while you’re in town?  Or, you’re already in Boulder and want to be like more like us?  Well, here are some of our favorite places in and around Boulder.

Accommodation

The reception is being held in the back garden area of the Millennium Harvest House (click here to see a map).  We have a block of rooms reserved at a special price from June 1st to June 3rd.  Rates range from $134 – $164 a night.

If you’re interested, please contact the Millennuim Harvest House at 303-998-3820, and ask for the “Carrillo/Kohn Wedding Room Block”.

Favorite Places to Hang Out

  • Atlas Purveyors – Ally kind of wants to live here.  Try a tea slush.  And the Divine Turkey sandwich!
  • CU campus – it’s beautiful, laid back, and if you go in the summer, not crowded.
  • Rooster & Moon Coffee Pub – It’s not in Boulder, but if you’re going to Denver for the afternoon, GO HERE.
  • Barnes & Noble – All the cool kids work (and read) there.
  • Boulder Creek Path – We can tell you where to rent a bike, all you have to do is follow the path.
  • Pearl Street Mall – People watching at it’s finest.

Restaurants

  • Ras Kassas – Your fingers are the utensils! Try the house honey wine.
  • Chez Thuy – Now THOSE are proper egg rolls. Super fried.
  • Happy – Great food, great drinks, enough said.
  • Illegal Pete’s – The best burritos you’ll ever have.
  • Dushanbe Tea House – Sit outside, sip an iced tea, and enjoy.
  • Snarf’s Sub Shop – Best. Sandwich. Ever.
  • Smooch Frozen Yogurt and Mochi – Go here for dessert. Mike’s favorite is the Acai fro-yo. Ally’s is the Ling Hi Mango mochi. (If these words mean nothing to you, then you MUST go here and educate yourself.)
  • Las Delicias – Michael has the menu memorized.
  • Aji – Empanadas for the win.
  • The Gondolier – Sangria and garlic knots!
