The Wedding

When: May 18, 2012

Where: Westin Princeville Ocean Resort in Kauai, Hawai’i

It’s very important to us to keep the wedding as personal and intimate as possible. The ceremony is going to be between us and less than 40 of our closest family and friends. Ally’s Uncle Buddy is going to be officiating (we’re so excited he said yes when we asked him to do it!) and our wedding parties are going to be our respective siblings (AJ on Ally’s side, and Diane & Dustin on Mike’s).

Kauai — Hanalei, in particular — has held a special place in our hearts for almost our entire relationship. It was one of the first vacations we went on together, and I (Mike) remember thinking that it was the most romantic place on earth. Ally was 17 and I was 18 when we first went, and I can still remember that Ally had mused about getting married there one day. I’m happy to report that now, a decade later, we’re making that happen!

(The proposal also happened there on the beach of Hanalei Bay.)

May 18th is the anniversary of when we first started dating, and 2012 marks 10 YEARS! On the date that marks an entire decade of blissful happiness and love for one another, we will commit to continue that love for the rest of our lives.

We can’t go away for the wedding and NOT throw a big celebration when we get home. After a small, quiet ceremony on Kauai, we’ll head back to Boulder to PARTY. We want to celebrate with all of our friends and family in our hometown.

We’ve picked a gorgeous venue, right on the Boulder Creek, and can’t wait to eat, dance, and celebrate our marriage with all of the people we love.

Are you coming in from out of town for the reception? Or just want to stalk our favorite hang outs? Check out our Boulder page for maps, directions, and info about all of our favorite things around here.

Please note: Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accommodate children at this party. We hope that you all will take this as an opportunity for a fun night out!  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to visit our Talk To Us page.
